Despite all the clever tech, the P9 appeared to struggle with focus in low light. Details are soft, but it does handle the bright lights well.

In the dark, the G5 struggles with noise like any phone camera. However, it seems LG prefers to leave this rather than use noise reduction and sacrifice detail. It does leave this shot looking rather grainy though.

A great performance by the S7: this photo is sharp and detailed with no noticeable noise. Our only criticism is the blown out highlights.

The Z5 has better highlight control than some and it has clearly tried to correct colours, but other phones produced a more true-to-life photo in these conditions.
